Biscuits and Gravy
Ingredients:
1 can (or homemade) Buttermilk biscuits
1 lb Breakfast pork sausage (ground)
1/3 cup All-purpose flour
3 cups Whole milk
1/2 tsp Black pepper (coarse ground is best)
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Bake biscuits according to package/recipe instructions.
While biscuits bake, brown the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat. Do not drain the fat.
Sprinkle flour over the sausage. Stir and cook for 1 minute to absorb the fat.
Slowly pour in milk while whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
Cook, stirring frequently, until the gravy thickens (approx. 5–8 mins).
Season generously with black pepper.
Split warm biscuits and ladle gravy over the top.
