General Tso's Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Chicken thighs, cubed

  • Batter: 1 egg, 1/2 cup Cornstarch, pinch of salt.

  • Sauce:

    • 3 tbsp Sugar

    • 3 tbsp Soy sauce

    • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar

    • 1/4 cup Chicken broth

    • 1 tbsp Cornstarch

  • 4 Dried red chili peppers

  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Mix chicken with batter ingredients.

  2. Deep fry chicken pieces until golden and crispy. Drain.

  3. Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.

  4. Leave 1 tbsp oil in the wok. Fry dried chilies briefly.

  5. Pour in sauce mixture. Cook until it thickens into a glaze.

  6. Toss fried chicken in the glaze until coated.
