Old Fashioned Apple Pie
Ingredients:
2 Pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
6 cups Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
3/4 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp Butter
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
Line pie plate with bottom crust.
Pour apple mixture into the crust. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
Cover with the second crust. Seal edges and cut slits for steam.
Bake for 40–45 minutes until crust is golden and filling is bubbling.
Cool for at least 1 hour before serving to let the filling set.
