Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain

  • 1 lb Broccoli florets

  • Marinade: 1 tbsp Soy sauce, 1 tsp Cornstarch, 1 tsp Oil.

  • Sauce:

    • 1/2 cup Beef broth

    • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce

    • 1 tbsp Soy sauce

    • 1 tsp Sugar

    • 1 tsp Sesame oil

    • 1 tsp Cornstarch

Instructions:

  1. Marinate beef for 30 minutes.

  2. Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain.

  3. Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.

  4. Sear beef in a hot wok with oil until browned. Remove beef.

  5. Add garlic/ginger (optional) to the wok, then pour in the sauce.

  6. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly.

  7. Return beef and broccoli to the pan. Toss to coat.
