Chicken and Waffles

Ingredients:

  • The Chicken: 4 Fried Chicken tenders or pieces (use recipe #3 from Batch 1 or store-bought).

  • The Waffles:

    • 2 cups All-purpose flour

    • 2 tbsp Sugar

    • 1 tbsp Baking powder

    • 1/2 tsp Salt

    • 2 Eggs

    • 1.5 cups Warm milk

    • 1/3 cup Butter, melted

    • 1 tsp Vanilla

  • Topping: Butter and pure Maple Syrup.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.

  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry. Stir until just combined (batter should be slightly lumpy).

  5. Pour batter onto hot waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer instructions until crisp.

  6. Place a hot piece of fried chicken on top of a waffle.

  7. Drizzle generously with maple syrup and serve hot.
