Chicken Teriyaki

Ingredients:

  • 4 Boneless, skin-on chicken thighs

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp Cooking oil

  • Teriyaki Sauce:

    • 4 tbsp Soy sauce

    • 4 tbsp Mirin

    • 4 tbsp Sake

    • 2 tbsp Sugar

    • 1 tsp Ginger, grated

Instructions:

  1. Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl; stir until sugar dissolves.

  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. prick the skin with a fork.

  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Place chicken skin-side down. Cook until skin is crispy (approx. 5-7 mins). Flip and cook 3 more minutes.

  4. Wipe excess grease from the pan with a paper towel.

  5. Pour the sauce into the pan. Turn heat to high.

  6. Flip chicken repeatedly to coat as the sauce bubbles and thickens into a glaze.

  7. Remove chicken, slice, and drizzle remaining sauce over the top.
