Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients:

  • Chicken: 1.5 lbs Chicken breast, cubed

  • Marinade: 1/2 cup Yogurt, 1 tbsp Lemon juice, 2 tsp Garam Masala, 1 tsp Cumin.

  • Sauce:

    • 1 Onion, finely diced

    • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic paste

    • 2 tsp Ground coriander

    • 1 tsp Turmeric

    • 1 tsp Chili powder

    • 1 cup Tomato puree

    • 1 cup Heavy cream

    • 1 tbsp Butter

Instructions:

  1. Marinate chicken for at least 1 hour.

  2. Grill or broil chicken pieces until charred on edges (about 10-15 mins). Set aside.

  3. In a deep pan, melt butter. Sauté onion until soft. Add ginger-garlic paste.

  4. Add spices (coriander, turmeric, chili). Cook 1 minute.

  5. Add tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes.

  6. Stir in cream and simmer gently.

  7. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce. Simmer for 5 more minutes.

  8. Garnish with cilantro and serve with naan.
