French Dip Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Rump roast or Roast beef

  • 1 packet Onion soup mix

  • 1 can (10.5oz) Beef consommé

  • 1 can (10.5oz) Beef broth

  • 1 can (10.5oz) French onion soup

  • 4 French rolls or Baguette sections

  • 4 slices Provolone cheese

Instructions:

  1. Place the beef roast in a slow cooker.

  2. Pour the onion soup mix, beef consommé, broth, and French onion soup over the meat.

  3. Cook on LOW for 7–8 hours until beef is tender.

  4. Remove beef and slice thinly.

  5. Ladle the liquid (Au Jus) from the slow cooker into small dipping bowls.

  6. Place beef on rolls, top with cheese, and broil in the oven for 2 minutes to melt cheese.

  7. Serve sandwiches with the dipping broth.
