Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) Butter

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour

  • 2 cups Sugar (divided)

  • 1 tbsp Baking powder

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 4 cups Fresh peach slices (or 2 large cans sliced peaches, drained)

  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Put the stick of butter in a 9x13 baking dish and place in the oven to melt.

  3. In a bowl, mix flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and milk. Whisk until smooth.

  4. Pour batter over the melted butter in the dish. DO NOT STIR.

  5. In a saucepan, heat peaches, remaining 1 cup sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon until sugar dissolves.

  6. Spoon the peaches and liquid gently over the batter. DO NOT STIR.

  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes. The batter will rise through the fruit and turn golden brown.
