Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag (12oz) Fresh or frozen cranberries

  • 1 cup White sugar

  • 1 cup Water (or Orange Juice for extra flavor)

  • 1 strip Orange zest (peel)

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Rinse cranberries and discard any mushy ones.

  2. Combine water, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.

  3. Add cranberries and orange zest.

  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. You will hear cranberries popping.

  5. Once the sauce thickens (it will thicken more as it cools), remove from heat.

  6. Discard the orange zest strip. Cool completely before serving.
