Southern Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
1 Unbaked 9-inch pie crust
1 cup White sugar
1 cup Light Corn Syrup
1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
3 large Eggs, beaten
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1/4 tsp Salt
1.5 cups Pecan halves
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, stir corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs, salt, and vanilla until well combined.
Stir in the pecans.
Pour mixture into the pie crust.
Bake for 60–70 minutes. The center should spring back when tapped lightly. If the crust edges get too dark, shield them with foil or a pie shield.
Cool for at least 2 hours before slicing (crucial for the filling to set).
